[Aloneness] a poem

Only too happy to see
the dissipation of daylight from
her eyes- from my eyes,
the mirror, myself in her

Narcissus afloat
in the marvel of downfall

One separates only to die alone
but dying alone is just that the dehiscence of the soul
from the body, the cells that
begin to die when one has given
up & surrender the ghost
