[Suburban Bourbon] a poem
Don't be fooled of joyous books,
they too contain terrible things,
all-consuming panic
coddled in a closet by Xanax

[Twos] a poem
If it takes
your breath away as it does mine,
then we are the same
the two of us
exiled,
endangered,
three-times over damn-near
twice defeated

[Las Vegas Origami]
If only we can be strangers again,
We can wallow in all those strange & unfamiliar things we know now weren't so unfamiliar
The porcelain past pressing it's need for reciprocation, the misrepresentation never rearing, Las Vegas Origami & regretful marriages happening over shots over night, then our sobriety came callin like two entitled chirping birds

[The Ego Wall] a poem
To be a man
is to forever be ever-vulnerable,
molding tactics allowing no one to exploit it
Spoken like a true patriarch
I’ve missed you around

[By Any Means] a poem
[By Any Means]
Overcome resistance through compassion,
now define compassion as
defining a tool for repression convenient
to escape-
-at the heart of this ossature,
amour fou,
shared psychosis
Knowing conception is but
any desire to attain,
remain,
aim,
to remain yours

[White Phosphorus Tide] a poem
What a beautiful hint of white phosphorus you’ve become,
a whimsical of wonderful, postscript in poised counterpoint,
unbound in an impress of literature bent there are still
ampersand of lovers who’ve never known you somewhere along your point of gravity,
of toadies such-like in statis,
unprivy to the seldom design of a woman womanizing
the little girl inside that she once was-
-and since, tatters have flown with the slightest hint of breeze,
as news articles thrown out with events no longer current,
with the wretched who breathes only to know they will die well.
With the fragmented things fallen away, I’ve become
a mess of things who’ve made a mess of things,
introduced chaos long before Pandora’s box shattered
onto the impenetrable, flattened earth in awestruck carnal,
love as deep and wide as the combustion of being that separates life and death.
Oh how to love this withered tree, I’ve taught you; it is from you I’ve learned to love and see a woman and we are at the center of it all

[Distance] a poem
Distance,
so beloved,
so measured and spoken of,
can dictate so much, devise so much,
miles are traveled, kilometers are converted,
feet are worn and the body warns of
its potential break from the odyssey,
time travel, seconds across great distances,
has evolved humanity, but it is unnecessary
when love has set its anchor in the harbor of dedication-

[I Carry You] a poem
that everyone envies yet since feeling has been first,
our synthesis is a whole fool in the unrelenting spring rain
- everything of me acknowledges,
my blood runs warm in kinetic magnificence
where no apostrophe lift your eyelids
than the wisdom of paragraphs given to you
in my arms-
even statistics have hands too small to hold your light,
wee whistles without any origin whatsoever
now the deepest of our lives lie lengthwise,
elongated, high up riding like the soul from
the expired cell
-and whatever the autumn refuse to sing to you,
then darling,
dearest ladybird,
then what is done is undone by
and instead we never die.

[The Entanglement] a poem
I can live off your smile;
everything of death, departure and loss subsides with the very sight-
-send your hands astray across my body,
deep-throat my shaft until my mushroom-head tickles your tonsils,
revolve around the tip as the moon does this great planet-
-sex is the connect that disconnects us from
the daze of being hostages to this world;
If we are to be captive, let us be captive in the
mist of our entangled beings, lost forever to this primitive
form of coexistence,
that is sex-

[If You May Love Me] a poem

When you first informed me that you loved me,
it was a tragedy so soon followed when blessedness
sprawled across my face, became a morbid convincing
unconvinced;
if skepticism has risen,
it is not the refusal nor refute
of your claim of love;
nobody has ever loved me,
so if you do, if this proclamation
has grown so,
a lifetime so long not being loved
has been magnetized,
worth every dark minute since-

[Something Other] a poem
We know nothing,
almost nothing of fatigue,
of grief,
the manner in which it metastasizes in the muscles,
-a theory, that our cells are affected physiologically when we see the resistant strain of sadness a resplendent thing, a resilient, inhuman thing, that plans to arrive temporarily, sees that its transplantation is a possibility without rejection,
and refuses to budge from its cavity of capture,
distills its spite through septic memory and math, envelopes a ratio almost mute to clotted sounds of capital antibiotic-
-there then is a seething city,
dense,
both with proud smiles and dimming lights inside a mind
lost in landscape of memory and darkening roses,
roaming the narrow streets around itself
while it too roams different wider streets
around something other.

[Case Study] a poem
My dear,
never-mind your flaws and your ugly tendencies,
life is squalid for both the pretty and the defected than meets the eye,
these eyes, about you, about who you are,
the far-fetched vertebrae that collapse even the fighter,
brings the lifelong tenure of the brain to its end.
It’s pretty obvious that pretty petty little mechanisms,
constructed to illustrate one’s idea of strength, i
s as ephemeral as the true touch
that humanity tends to be selfish with.
Dontrell Lovet't-from [Labial Laughs]
[The Light in You] a poem
Light may be perpetual in you,
in me,
the dark always finds a way inside.
Oh love,
I wish it weren’t so,
I wish I didn’t have to wake with fleshy wood to
abuse your venus till numb and unbearable,
the same person who loves your light
is the madman with murder in his heart,
who all the same loving you,
envies your ability to be-

[Kissing Both] a Poem
is a full-time fool
& what do you suppose
becomes of a fool’s lover?
What’s an odalisque
if not one to take on the
cadence set by a deception so
necessary for her to cope with
her imprisonment?
